The public libraries in Baltimore County have some great free events that everyone can enjoy. From classes to clubs, the opportunities are endless.

Here are 5 free things you can take advantage of at Baltimore County’s public libraries:

Baltimore County Public Libraries are a hub of resources, and one of their many incredible offerings are their resources for veterans. From employment and information on health care and housing to support groups for veterans and families, the library offers a wealth of information and help. Click here to begin exploring!

In addition to all of the great educational events the library provides, their website and library branches offer a wealth of help and information. Need help figuring out financial aid and scholarships? Need online tutoring (available everyday from 2pm until midnight!) or homework help? Trying to figure out how to get your GED? You can begin your search right here!

With a balance of fun and skill-building, the DIY and craft classes at Baltimore County’s libraries are the best way to spend an afternoon. Join the Catonsville branch every 2nd Saturday of the month for Makernoon, with guided sessions that help children grow creativity, inspiration, and problem-solving skills. You can also visit the Reisterstown branch every last Monday of the month for Maker Monday or the Pikesville branch every 3rd/4th Thursday of the month for Thursday Night Crafts, which both feature a unique project.

Finally, the Randallstown branch hosts RandallsKids every 3rd Thursday of the month, where kids can build, create, and explore. Keep your eyes on the calendars to sign your children up for these unique events.

Instead of hitting the theater, come to the libraries in Baltimore County! On the 1st Saturday of every month, the Owings Mills branch hosts Family Fun at the Movies, where families can have some downtime and watch a kid-friendly film!

You can also head out to the White Marsh branch to enjoy free movie-time with your little one (the most recent times here have already passed, but keep your eyes on the calendar for upcoming events). *These are definitely the best movie deals in the area!*

Kids and adults can benefit from the awesome clubs offered at Baltimore County’s libraries. The 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month, the Loch Raven branch hosts their chess club, where kids can brush up on their skills.

Kids can also participate in Loch Raven’s Comics Club, held on the 1st Saturday of every month. Adults can enjoy deep discussion at the Parkville-Carney Book Club, the Towson branch’s History Book Club, or the Towson Book Club. No matter your interests, there is a *free* club for you!
